DuraPak B
ASC filter with blended media for gas turbines
The DuraPak B is AAF’s entry-level product in the DuraPak product range. Suitable for dry, medium dust load environments, with a durable media designed for pulse cleaning and specifically designed for gas turbine intakes. The DuraPak B is a direct replacement for existing ASC filter houses without modification to the holding arrangement.
The DuraPak B has an M6 (MERV 12) efficiency, although this is classified as F8 against the EN779:2002 standard. This is a tried and tested product and has been in the DuraPak portfolio for many years. Like all cellulose/synthetic blends, an application assessment should be made when used in humid or very high dust applications.

The site in question operates several gas turbines in Dubai, UAE at an Aluminium Smelter. All originally fitted with reverse pulse cartridge systems, the operator could not achieve a filter life beyond 9 months.
