Nuclear high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter

AAF’s AstroCel III NG is a dedicated HEPA filter used within air cleaning systems, air filtration systems, or air extraction systems throughout the nuclear sector. They provide critical protection and are qualified to meet the most stringent safety specifications in the industry. AstroCel III NG has a very high media content – typically double the media found in most HEPA filters and has an efficiency of 99.99% @ 0.3 microns.

The AstroCel III NG has a high media area that provides greater airflow capacity, low resistance, and long filter life to reduce service intervals. These filters can operate at a continuous temperature up to 120 °C and are resistant to irradiation. A high temperature (HT) version is also available, compliant to the CTHEN specification it can operate at a continuous 200 °C. The media is fully sealed with the filter frame to ensure integrity and prevent bypass leakage.
