Onshore Static Filtration System
Versatile performance enhancing filtration solutions for onshore gas turbine and compressor applications.
Understanding the air quality challenges for coastal locations that can lower gas turbine and compressor performance and how to remedy these challenges to maximise efficiency, profitability, and coastal protection.
Salt is prevalent as both a dry particulate and as an aerosol, it is typically found in high concentrations along the coast due to the prevailing wind picking up sea spray from the waves.
Removing free moisture is essential to avoid particles absorbing the moisture and swelling in the presence of water. This can block filter media pores and lead to an increase in pressure drop with the potential of dp spiking.
Each filtration stage will make a positive contribution to remove the moisture, including the final filter, which should repel moisture and salt and have efficient drainage. This will protect the gas turbine by stopping salt laden water passing through the filter system.
Removing the risk of salt contamination will in turn reduce the risk of corrosion, increase availability, and extend the life of expensive engine components.
